Why do women keep money in their bra?

I’ve been doing a little keyword research. Running a business entirely online is new to me so I’m enjoying approaching it from a different perspective and SEO I was aware of, and stressed myself about every month or so in my last business but not enough to do anything worthwhile about.

Anyway, keywords. I’m doing one deep dive search a day and it is fruitful in terms of topics to search further, books to read, questions to answer but the search I did today was a doozy.

Women and money.

I’ve got actual things to talk about but I thought I’d try and answer some of the sillier ones here.

Why do women keep money in their bra?

I think it’s because we don’t have pockets in our clothes. What do you think?

It’s a meme of course - how we all show off our pockets if a dress has them. I put them in my wedding dress even.

I think the theory is that if we don’t have pockets then we need a handbag and so we spend more money on that, or maybe because we’re always carrying something we’re a little more vulnerable which suits the patriarchy. Or maybe it’s to keep the lines of the outfit cleaner. Or maybe it’s because our husbands will be the providers so we don’t need to keep money.

Controversial opnion but I’m not a huge fan of pockets in clothing, mainly because of the way it affects the balance of an outfit. I’m either wearing something tight so I want the clean line or I’m wearing something voluminous so a heavy thing in a pocket will weigh it down.

I don’t always put pockets in and if I do I don’t use them for much apart from my hands and some tissues. It’s great to have the option though, and when you’re buying womens’ clothes it is unusual and that sucks.

So basically, make your own clothes.

Can women make money farting online?

Yes, that came up more than once and in a few different guises and the answer is absolutely you can. Women make money online in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways. In fact this Welsh woman made £2,500 a month selling farts on Only Fans so good for her!

Why do men give women money?

Do they? Sign me up!

I’ve got some more nuanced views on this obvs, and gender dynamics - within families especially - is something we absolutely need to discuss, I just kind of enjoyed the starkness of this.

I’ve got an image in my head of who was asking this question (it’s an incel or a manosphere bro obvs) but I’ll never know if I’m right or not, which is a very slight frustration to me. Maybe I should google what sort of person would google that sort of thing so that somebody else somewhere doing SEO research can write a blog about who they think would ask such a question.
