Debt Payoff Tracker Sheets
How To Use These Sheets
They should hopefully be fairly straightforward for you so feel free to just download and go. The basic idea is that you’re gathering all of your debt info together so you can get a clear idea on where to start and then also track how you’re doing as you pay stuff off.
The first half of the first sheet requires you to be gung ho about stuff. Just get it all written down, don’t worry about it making sense or looking good. Don’t miss anything, get it all down there.
Then you sort it into an order in the second half of that first sheet, once you’ve decided on the debt payoff method which suits you so you know the order you’re going for. You can read more about the different debt payoff methods here.
The next sheet is where you write down each individual debt and what you fill in as you go. For either method you are paying off the minimums every month at least, and one of the debts gets all of your spare cash as well, so you’ll have something to fill out every single month. I really encourage you to set a time to actually do this every month. It should only take a few minutes, it will keep you on track and it will set up the proof that you can make a decision and stick to it - you deserve that!
A final thought, and you can read more about my thoughts on it here, you’re not a bad person for getting into debt, or stupid or lazy or any other adjective spinning around in there. You’re just a person doing their best. At the time it was that, and now it’s this.
You don’t have to be perfect, you can start right now and change methods at a later date and that will also be you doing your best. But if debt is swilling around in your head, making your day more difficult, just start somewhere.
Let’s go!!
